REASONS FOR OUR RATES:

The Honest, Frank, Blunt Answers:

Regarding our cartoon mascot characters, what you will be getting with us, with just the slightest variations, are exact replicas of the official characters. (As you will see for yourself) All other party companies use cheap, all-fabric ebay costumes which look nothing like the official costumes. We've done our homework and investigated, and we have found that we really, truly ARE the only company in the country that has character costumes this accurate. This is because our characters' heads are all hand-sculpted by an artist (He also hand-makes the costumes as well). We also use body padding to achieve accurate body shapes of the characters. This makes our heads and costumes much hotter and heavier than the other companies' ebay costumes, and takes much more of a physical toll on the performers when wearing them.

Regarding all our science fiction characters, we have the largest and most diverse cast of the characters - from heroes and villains to various famous creatures. We have practically the entire cast of the original trilogy! We have also begun to add new characters from the new movies. Our science fiction characters' costumes are highly professional and accurate.

Other characters of ours require elaborate special effects makeup and extensive costume design / making.

All our costumes were extremely expensive to make and acquire, and a great deal of money and labor has gone into them. As a result, all of our costumes are highly professional, with great attention to detail, and are very screen-accurate and theme-park accurate. This has enabled us to provide our clients with the largest and most diverse collection of characters on the party circuit in Southern California (and in many cases even across the country) and the unique, special experience that goes with them. These are the reasons for our rates.

CARTOON CHARACTER PARTIES / EVENTS RATES:

Mascot Characters: $300.00 per character per hour

Temporay Sale: $250.00 per character per hour

Special Request For Custom-Made Costumes For Mascot Characters: An Additional $100.00

Character Costume Changes During Parties / Events

[One example: Some clients requested certain characters to arrive in their traditional tuxedo and then change costumes half-way into the party into the specified wardrobe costumes. Clients have had other of our characters doing basically the same thing]:

$25.00 extra per character costume change
Royalty Characters: $200.00 per hour
Host / Emcee Characters: $100.00 per hour

Face Painter Artists: $60.00 per hour.

Balloon Artists: $100.00 per hour.

Caricature Artists: $100.00 per hour.

Gas Funds Fee:

[Gas Funds fees apply for any hour past one hour of travel to gigs far away from our base in the Greater Hollywood area]:

$30.00 per extra hour of travel past the first hour

Extremely Short Notice Booking Fee:[Extremely Short Notice is Less than One Week's (7 days) notice]: $100.00

Please keep in mind that, if requested to do gigs on those days, this means we have to give up our OWN holidays. Also please keep in mind that practically all other people who have to work on major holidays in pretty much all areas of business generally get paid double time or double time and a half. So, the same must go for us, in all fairness, as well. Plus, again, we also have to wear hot and heavy costumes as well, which most other people in different lines of work do NOT have to do.

Keeping that in mind, all rates on the above-mentioned holidays are double their regular rates.

SECOND & ADDITIONAL HOUR RATES:

We are very sorry, but we can no longer offer discounted rates if clients want us for a second or third hour, etc.. The reason is for the same reasons we covered in the above paragraphs. We have discovered that, our performers suffer much MORE in those costumes during second and third hours than they do the first hour. We have had enough near-medical emergencies during parties and events that last longer than one hour as a result that we realize we can only endure the costume discomforts for extra-long parties / events if allowed enough breaks and if it is more worth it to our performers to physically suffer that much more. So, please understand our VERY valid reasons for no longer lowering our rates for second or more hours. Whatever the agreed-upon amount for the first hour is, the second or additional hours must remain that exact same rate.

Character escorts must be present to ensure the safety of our characters - especially our mascot characters - to make sure they do not fall, trip, or run into anyone or anything. In most cases, this character escort is also dressed as a human-faced character themselves and also perform the duties of a host / Master or Mistress of Ceremonies. This includes hosting the games...everything. Our characters (especially mascot characters) cannot host anything or do any face painting or make balloons, etc., themselves. This is due to the vision, hearing, speaking, and movement restrictions of their costumes. So, the host / MC, face painter, or ballooon artist must all be separate people. If you choose to not use our character escorts as hosts, they will then be dressed in casual clothes and follow the costumed characters around silently. The client will then need to provide their own party host. Also, if a client does not use our face painter or balloon artist, but still want such duties performed, they must then use their own face painters / balloon artists, etc..

If a party / event is more than an hour's drive away (from the Heart of Hollywood, CA area, there is a $30.00 gas fund fee.

* NOTE: If you request and are given discounted rates, then you must pay the full amount upfront in advance. Clients paying full price may have the option of paying half now and half later by opr before the date of the party / event. No exceptions.

We have full "Party Packages" at different rates - depending on how many characters you want. If you choose the full "Party Package" (Please see our page "Party Packages"), you would get included in your party package:

#1) A host to assist the characters and interact with the children to organize meet and greet with the characters, i.e. autographs and photos. Also, the host would conduct several games with the children. The host [our choice please, based on their availability] will either be The Blue Fairy from "Pinocchio", "Cinderella's" Fairy Godmother, Merlin the Wizard from "The Sword and the Stone", Bert from "Mary Poppins", or a gentleman dressed in traditional 'park' attire, including vest or jacket, name tag and Mr. Mouse Club ears.

#2) Also included are a professional Face Painter and / or Balloon Artist.

Here is what we usually do at parties. If there are other things requested by a client, we add those things in. But this is generally how things go:

Our appearance includes: Grand Entrance / Photo Opportunities / Autograph Signing / Children's Games / Birthday Cake Presentation / "Happy Birthday" Song / Optional Dancing / Final Wave Of Photos / Grand Exit

We do tend to get booked very early and quickly. We are in very high demand, because, again, we do have the most accurate costumes. We have many bookings each month all the way from now into March, 2016, and get requests for many future dates daily. So, it is advised to book as soon as possible once correspondence has begun. Many of these months are already booked to the point of our doing 2-3 parties on the same days. You're date might be already booked by others, but it is possible your time frame on that day is still open. But it won't be for much longer.

Deposits & Advance Payments

These are to secure our booking date and time, as we will be turning down any and all other business opportunties that may be asked of us by others for the same dates and times. Some of us will need to take that day off from regular jobs as well. We will also need to take measures to maintain and refresh our costumes and accessories, possibly make repairs or replace costume parts if necessary, for your gig. This also makes sure that there is no "flaking" on either side. This is backed up by a written agreement / contract that will be e-signed and sent to you via email. A response back to us that you agree to everything, along with the payment, seals the deal.

We have always been on time and provided a very fun, exciting, and high quality experience for all our clients, no matter which of our characters they have chosen, and we will continue to always maintain that standard.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:

We have friends who run celebrity look-alike businesses. They have had cancellation policies. But, there have been countless misunderstandings between them and their clients over cancellation policies. We have learned from their mistakes, and realize that it is much simpler and safer to not have a cancellation policy. So, all clients must be 100% sure they wantto book us, because all bookings are final. If something on the client'send changes in the meantime, we will do our best to adapt, and even try to do it on a different date if the client wants, provided there are any openings. But the bookings in of themselves are final.

As the bookings are final, there are no refunds, with only ONE exception. The only condition in which we would give a refund is if we do not show up on the date of the party / event with costumes and ready to perform. But that has never happened and never will. That would be the only reason we would issue a refund.

ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE TIME:

It happens often that a client wishes to have us stay longer once we are there. We do usually oblige when we can. But there are times we cannot, becausewe are often booked for mutiple parties per day. However, if we can, we will, but there must be further payment made to accommodate any extra time beyond the time originally agreed on.

CHANGING PARTY / EVENT TIMES:

There have been instances where clients have wanted to change the times of our appearance at their parties / events. This generally cannot be allowed, as, again, we are often booked for multiple parties on various days. If we ARE able to adapt, there is an automatic $50.00 fee.

HALLOWEEN WEEK RATES:

We are in very high demand every year the week before Halloween, and especially ON Halloween. Rates must be higher than usual for this week. Our calendar fort hat week is already filling up fast!

CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR'S / HOLIDAY SEASON RATES:

Please understand that all our Christmas Characters are in extremely high demand the week before and after Christmas - especially on Christmas Eve / Christmas Day & New Year's Eve / New Year's Day. Those 4 days - and nights - are very close to being filled up for us already. Also, since those days are the biggest holidays of the year and most people do not work on those holidays (and if they do, the majority get double time pay or more for giving up their own holidays), we also have to be fair to ourselves for working on those days as well. So, rates do have to be quite a bit higher than usual for those 2 weeks than the rest of the days of the year. And even more-so on Christmas Eve / Christmas Day & New Year's Eve / New Year's Day - in keeping with most other Santas' & Christmas / Holiday Season Characters rates.
